Tracey has come from a legal background and was looking for a complete change of career. She’s embarking on her We Love Pets journey with her son, making it a true family venture.
Why did you choose a franchise over setting up your own business?
I had never considered setting up my own business or taking on a franchise. However, when I was looking for a career change, I stumbled across We Love Pets and found a vacancy for a branch in my area. One call to Ryan and the rest is history!
What did the word ‘franchise’ mean to you before you came across We Love Pets?
Truthfully, I was sceptical at first but after speaking with Ryan and reading the website I started to understand the many benefits that being part of a franchise might mean for me.
How have We Love Pets made sure you’re the right person to carry the award-winning brand forward?
When we (my son is also involved) first had a video call with Ryan and Jo, there was an instant connection and enthusiasm and I’ve honestly never been so excited. I hope that we never look back and that we can maintain and strengthen the We Love Pets brand.
What do you love most about Cannock?
Cannock has a wonderful area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (Cannock Chase) and I would not change that for anything.
What have you done in the past that you think will help you in your new venture?
My background is entirely legal and many of the skill are totally transferable including communication, organisation and attention to detail. My son’s speciality is IT and social media so I think we can make a good team.
What does running a business like this mean to you?
It means a personal touch to animals and their owners alike. Having had dogs of my own in the past I would not leave them with just anyone and hope that is how customers will also feel that their animal is safe, secure and happy.
