Pancakes with bananas

Pancake Day is for dogs too!

We already share big celebrations like Christmas, birthdays and even Valentine’s Day with our dogs…so why not Pancake Day too? Our dogs can join in the flipping fun when you make our dog-friendly recipe – which is gluten free too!

If you want to #sharepancakes with your dogs this year, you can’t go wrong with our recipe and tried and tested toppings for canines.

Pancake Recipe No.1

50g gluten free flour

100ml water

1 egg

Coconut oil for the pan

Topping: We Love Nutrition treats

Proving you can make pancakes almost anywhere, We Love Pets Managing Director Ryan sets up his portable cooking stove at WLP Head Quarters poised with a ruler spatula and squeezy bottle of batter ready to make some flippin’ good pancakes for his dog, Amber.

Wolfing the pancake down in one, Amber’s clearly a fan of Shrove Tuesday for dogs. The treats we chose for her were We Love Nutrition Grain Free Fish Treats which are totally natural, additive free and made with 80% freshly prepared fish. Lip smackingly good!

Pancake Recipe No.2

50g gluten free flour

100ml water

1 egg

Coconut oil for the pan

Topping: Doggy-friendly peanut butter

Made in the company of baby Indy (who also enjoys a pancake treat), Content Manager Emily’s pancakes are topped with a tasty peanut butter suitable for dogs (the purer the ingredients the better).

Django was almost in luck of taking a cheeky pancake from the floor after a near miss flip by left-handed Emily whose catching skills are sketchy at best. When the threat of baby Indy stealing the pancakes is removed, Django devours his nutty pancakes with excitement.

Pancake Recipe No. 3

50g gluten free flour

100ml water

1 egg

Coconut oil for the pan

Topping: Marmite

This time it’s Account Manager Jodie’s turn to find out whether her dog Django (yes, there are two Django’s on the team) loves or hates the most divisive of breakfast spreads and pancake toppings – Marmite.

Jodie proves she’s got the flipping skills…but what will Django make of it? A seriously waggy tail and clean bowls says it all. Verdict: LOVE.

Pancake Recipe No.4

50g gluten free flour

100ml water

1 egg

Coconut oil for the pan

Topping: Bananas

For this recipe we travel all the way to bonnie Scotland where Support Manager Laura goes Bananarama on her pancakes for her dogs Olive, Nell and Savannah. These dogs have worked up a huge appetite bouncing around the wilderness near their home so let’s hope the pancakes deliver…

Ready, steady, go! And in a blink they’re gone. Bananas are a huge hit. More please?
