If you’re staying in the UK (again) for your summer holidays, you might be taking your dogs with you, especially if you have hikes or a countryside get away planned.

With lots of beautiful walks and hikes in the UK, both easy and for the more experienced, you will find the perfect walk for your four-legged friends. Here’s some lovely hikes and walks here in the UK:

The Old Man of Coniston (Experienced Level)

There are several routes to the summit of this fell, but will take somewhere around 3-4 hours so make sure you and your dog take breaks. If your dog shows signs of being worn out, tun back to the car to be safe. Even without reaching the top, the fells have beautiful views all around.

Roseberry Topping (Easier Level)

A trip to the top of the famous hill in North Yorkshire takes around 0.5 hours, perfect walking and exploring time for your pup. There are more trails around the hill, some are longer, some shorter, with lots of woodlands to explore and beautiful views, even without tackling the hill itself.

Black Park Country Park

If your dog love exploring off lead, Black Park in Slough has wonderful tree covered footpaths and a lovely lake to cool down in on warm summer days. With different walks around the park, it’s a beautiful place for a pleasurable amble with lots of exploring to do.

Fidden Beach

If your dog prefers a dip in the sea to a hike, Fidden beach is a beautiful white sand beach on the West Coast of the Isle of Mull. There is a whole host of wildlife on around the beach though, so be careful if your dog is not a fan of other animals.

Llandwyn Beach

Though dogs are not allowed on the western point of the beach from May through to September, the areas they are allowed are still beautiful, and the beach is considered one of the best pet-friendly beaches in Anglesey. The rest of the year, the beach is open no restrictions.

Walberswick Beach

Considered one of the best dog-friendly areas in Suffolk, Walberswick has beach, marsh and heathland to explore, all close to the village, so all amenities are close on hand for a day trip out. Walberswick is very popular with dogs and walkers alike.
