We want to get one thing straight from the off, we will not be held responsible for any missing tennis balls! You can’t prove anything.
We Love Pets are opening for business in wonderful Wimbledon! Jenny has worked for others for fifteen years and is eager to get started:
‘Joining the We Love Pets family will give me a new and exciting opportunity to combine my love for animals and owning and growing my own business.
After fifteen years in the corporate world, in HR and recruitment, means I can use those skills to welcome local people onto my team as the business grows and one of the many things that attracted me to the We Love Pets franchise model was that all jobs are permanent, so all of my recruits will have job security and satisfaction.’
What were your thoughts before deciding to move forward with running your own branch of We Love Pets?
It was a big decision to move from everything I had known, working in the corporate world, into something completely different. I felt that a franchise was the perfect match for me as it allowed me the opportunity to start my own business but with the support and guidance of the franchise, their brand, processes and procedures. I also really value and enjoy working with a support network of people around me.
Once I had decided that this was the career path I wanted to take I was then confronted with an enormous number of franchise opportunities to choose from, it was mind boggling!
I decided to consider a selection of well established/ large brands and then some smaller/newer brands. I was immediately drawn to We Love Pets by their website. It looked good – lots of imagery and not too much text! It was easy to navigate and I loved the video clips of current franchisees telling their stories as to why they love working for We Love Pets. Compared to other competitor websites it was head and shoulders above the rest!
I then spoke with Ryan, New Franchise Director, who was fab. I instantly warmed to him on the telephone so when he invited me to meet up for a chat I didn’t hesitate. The meeting went well and I also had a call with Jo, who I found to be very commercial, innovative and forward thinking, which is exactly the type of organisation I was looking to join. I think We Love Pets are at an exciting point in their journey being on an upward trajectory going through a phase of rapid growth – there is a real buzz about them and I can’t wait to be a part of it!
Do you have any pets of your own?
I have two cats, Domino who is female domestic short-haired cat and is 3.5 years old, she’s a rescue. I also have Peanut, who’s Domino’s daughter.
Domino is a lap cat, she loves nothing better than a stroke and a rub around the ears. She is light footed and quiet which makes her an effective hunter (too good at times!) and she enjoys spending hours outside patrolling her territory. Peanut on the other hand is a typical calico/tortie – with bags of “tortitude” she is sassy, feisty, talkative and will certainly make her presence known! Both are very loving and snuggle up on my bed most nights. I’m normally woken every morning at 6am by Peanut with a loud purr and furry paw on my face as they are ready for their breakfast and to be let out!
